So I tried to do a test fit with the armor on, but my 2 year old toddler was so overwhelmed that she had a little tandrum. 😅So I decided that it is not her time right now for a Cosplay with armor. I just need to find the right moment. Because I don’t want to push her into it. That will give a bad experience and I don’t want that. And she tells me every time that she finds the dress pretty. So I know she will wear it one day. But nevertheless I had so much fun finishing this Beauty and the Beast inspired armor Cosplay. Hi everyone! I made this quick and simple Kirin to Hi everyone! I made this quick and simple Kirin tor spellbook for my Jaina Proudmoore Cosplay. I used some low density 2 mm Foam for the cover of the book that I had laying arround. And glued it on with our contact glue Duracoll. I made the Kirin tor logo also from 2 mm low density foam. When that was glued on I covered the book with our craftskin in the color brown. Then I had some left over gems I made a while ago with our epoxy resin and I thought these gems are perfect for this spellbook. Also these where glued on with Duracoll. For the corners of the book I cut some detail pieces out of 2 mm high density foam. And primed these pieces with hexflex paint/primer in the color black. When that was dry I painted the book with oil paint, amsterdam acrylics and art creation metallic paint the color gold. I wanted to add more details so I printed out some spells and glued these in the middle part of the book and I used a tea bag to darken the paper. And the last detail I made for this book Is a braided suede cord. And tadaa it’s done! Shading gives this armor a very beautiful effect. Shading gives this armor a very beautiful effect. Now I have to buy fabric for the dress. Hopefully I can find a fabric that fits nicely with the armor. 😄 The base of this armor is made out of 2 types of Worbla, Pearly art and Black art. I primed it with Quickspray primer Black. Then I spray Painted the armor with Amsterdam Acrylics Deep Gold. For shading I used Art Creations Oil paint set, the color 409 and 701.
